About MimicKid

MimicKid is a speaking-practice app built for Vietnamese learners of English. It exists because most learning tools optimize for reading and recognizing English, while the hardest skill — speaking it out loud, at natural pace — is usually left for a classroom or tutor that not everyone has access to.

Our approach

Every lesson is a real dialogue between two speakers, not a list of disconnected phrases. Learners move through five steps for each one: listen with a karaoke-style transcript, learn the key vocabulary, repeat individual lines with pronunciation scoring, answer open-ended questions in their own words, and finally shadow a full role in the conversation. That progression — recognize, learn, repeat, generate, perform — mirrors how the speaking-practice method we recommend actually works, because it's the same method used to build every lesson on the platform.

Who builds it

MimicKid is built by a small team of English teachers and engineers who wanted the tool we couldn't find ourselves: something that scores how you actually sound, not just whether you tapped the right multiple-choice answer.
